& Collaboration

Inspired by the theme of “Collaborate for Change”, this inaugural iEX pop-up exhibition, Alternative Pathways: Creativity, Community, and Collaboration, is a collaboration between the Armed Services Arts Partnership, CreatiVets, Hines VA R/CAT program, and The National Veterans Art Museum. It is through the growth of arts-based programming of the represented organizations that veterans have been able to access support and resources in the process of creating, exhibiting, and showcasing their own artistic innovations while cultivating a sense of community and collaboration among veterans and other military-connected folks

There is power in veteran created artwork in fostering connections across diverse experiences and inspiring change for a more connected future. Expression through the creative arts offers alternative pathways to share and witness the stories and perspectives that highlight the myriad identities, cultures, and experiences that represent those within the veteran artist community. We invite all 2024 iEX participants to stop by the Spanish Court throughout the conference to view and interact with veteran created artwork, learn more about the veteran arts organizations and programs, engage directly with veteran artists, and discover ways that creativity is the seed of innovation.
